1. Look at This-Look through a different lens-a camera, binoculars, a magnifying glass, a telescope, a microscope, etc. How can looking through a different lens help us see things differently? Elijah was looking at things through a lens of fear and needed encouragement and sustenance from God to be revived. How does God provide these things to us?
2. Imitators-Pair off, with pairs facing each other. Assign one person in each set to be the “leader” and the other person to be the “imitator.” Pretend that the leader is looking in a mirror and doing actions and the imitator is the mirror itself reflecting those actions back to the leader. Switch roles. Read Eph. 5:1-2. Talk about what it looks like to live as imitators of Christ.
3. The One Who Sent Me-Choose a series of tasks to assign to each person and send them to complete it. After all have returned, read Jn. 6:38 and talk about what it means to do God’s will. What was God’s will for Jesus? (See Jn. 6:39-40). What is God’s will for us? (See 1 Thes. 5:16-18).
