Confirmation Class
Redeemer believes that God has designed parents as the primary teachers of faith in the home and our Confirmation class structure reflects that. Middle school youth and their parents work through Luther's Small Catechism together in order for students to expand their knowledge of Scripture and continue to build upon the faith that's been growing in them through their lives. Our ministry staff come alongside parents as they catechize their young people by offering sessions throughout the year. Families are encouraged to work at their own comfortable pace to prepare for the rite of Confirmation which is offered in the spring. During the Rite of Confirmation, students who have completed the Confirmation program with their family, affirm their baptismal covenant and publicly profess their faith. At that time, the students also receive Holy Communion for the first time and are welcomed as members of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.
