Waiting

Matthew 24:36-44

Questions abound regarding the coming again of the Son of Man. It’s time is compared to the days surrounding faithful Noah. It’s compared to the commonplaces of what people, and sinful people at that, walk through each day, each year.

His coming again is anything but commonplace. And there is a command for us to fulfill as we wait, “Therefore you also must be ready …” (v. 44a). Why? “ …for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (v. 44b).

Wait? Yes. How long? Until you see His face. And you will. We will.

The wait is worth it.
