Up Front and Out In The Open
Trinity: Epistle, Acts 2:14a, 22-36
Acts 2:14a, 22-36
Jesus Christ, His mission and His Word can stand against all opposition. Why? Because the seminal events of the gospel took place in open view of opposition. And it was the type of opposition which was historically and circumstantially situated in a way that if anyone wanted to question the veracity and validity of the claims of the Christian proclamation, it was their place to do it and seal forever the fate of the future of the infant Christian community.
Instead, the nay-sayers then had nothing substantive to negate the claims of the apostles and earliest followers of Jesus. And the nay-sayers of today, even less.
Bold claims? Yes, indeed. And worthy of the Living Savior who vindicates them.
He is Risen!
He is Risen, indeed! Alleluia!
