Grateful for the Cross
Proper 22: Gospel, Mark 10:2-16
Mark 10:2-16
Marriage is for life. And if it be the will of God, new life comes from marriage. Life is hard. So is marriage. Perhaps that is why children are referred to as “heritage” and “reward.” See Psalm 127. Marriage may bring happiness and fulfillment on one of the measuring scales of life. But marriage is not THE source of happiness nor fulfillment. Many marriages end because these precise expectations are placed upon it. When marriage doesn’t “measure up,” humans corrupt it, or leave it. The ending of marriage is bad. Marriage is for life.
Some marriages break. All marriages have failures.
We have a faithful Savior. Take everything to Him.
