Above All
Twenty-Second Sunday after Pentecost: Psalm 148
Psalm 148
There’s a noticeable crescendo at the end of the book of Psalms. Not a musician? Well, a crescendo is an increase in volume and the end of the psalter houses a grand one. To borrow a bit more modern phrase than we might find in the Bible, the end of the psalms ROCK.
Short and sweet today. Read and rejoice in Psalm 148, our psalm reading for the week, realizing its speaking about your primary vocation and mine:
“Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for His name alone is exalted;
His glory is above the earth and heaven.”
–Psalm 148:13
Dear Christian, the glory is God’s alone. The praises we sing he gives to our hearts. Sing, sing, and never stop singing.
